CELEBRATIONS IN MY SCHOOL (last year)

Early in the morning of the 15th August we could the hear the birds singing like they got freedom by that morning itself. By 8.00 a.m. we reached the school, I could each of my companion dressed so very well with enthusiasm. On everyone's face the proud on the nation was clearly visible. Our teacher were dressed up in wonderful sarees and stuff. We were divided into the group performance under respective teachers. By 8.30 parents and chief guests arrived and by the same time we gathered in the school ground. We started the program by doing prayer, singing the national anthem and shouting Bharat Mata Ki Jai. We were nervous but the pride was on fire.

We stood in attention to give salute to the flag. The flag ceremony came to a close with a few speeches delivered by the staff. Their speech and expressions enlightened our patriotic feelings. The program was started by 9.30. We were asked to stand according to the performance serial. The participants wearing dress like the army made us remember those soldiers who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of our country. The teachers stood round the flag pole.

All the speakers threw light on the importance of the day and our duties towards the country. Turn by turn all performances were held and each made us feel proud on four things:-
  1. OUR COUNTRY : INDIA
  2. OUR NATIONALITY : INDIAN
  3. OUR SOLDIERS : THE INDIAN ARMY
  4. OUR FLAG : TIRANGA

After all performances Jan Gan Man was sung. The scouts’ band played the tune. After enjoying the grand illumination in the school we returned home in happy mood.

" I would like to conclude with : JAI HIND! JAI BHARAT!
